What to Expect This Tax Season at Infinity

Whether you're a new client or an existing client, our tax preparation process is designed to be thorough, collaborative, and to give you an experience that provides you with clarity and confidence in your financial picture. Infinity takes a holistic approach to your taxes, meaning that we incorporate your entire financial planning needs and goals into our tax preparation services.

Our team is involved throughout the process, keeping you updated on information needed, tech support with our client portals, and to guide you through tax season with ease. Here's how to get started!

  1. Schedule a complimentary consultation - meet with our financial advisors to discuss your current tax situation and financial goals. We'll walk through the documents that you do have, make a plan for the documents that are not provided in your appointment.
  2. Set up your Intuit Client Portal - this secure portal allows you to access and sign our Engagement Letter, complete a tax questionnaire, and upload documents. Existing clients will receive an invitation in January to begin uploading their documents. New clients will receive the portal link after their tax consultation unless requested prior to your appointment.
  3. Preparing Your Return - Once we have received some or all of your documents, we will begin preparing your tax return. Our standard turn-around time is 7-10 business days once all documents have been provided. If additional information is needed, we will let you know and you can upload the information into your client portal. Please note that we are unable to accept flash drives.
  4. Pickup Appointment - For new clients, our pickup appointments are required as we walk through your return, the process of receiving your refund or paying a balance and answer any additional questions.
  5. Mid-Year Review - After tax season, we hold mid-year reviews to plan for next tax season and discuss your financial goals long-term. The Mid-Year Review is included in your tax preparation fees as a first-year client, valued at $1,500! We strongly encourage our clients to utilize this service to discuss tax deduction gaps and see what additional solutions are available to meet your goals.
